Lush deep pile reminiscent of a Beni Ourain carpet. I was drawn to this piece by it’s simple design and it’s feeling of authenticity. There are so many carpets in Morocco produced in response to the tourist market or what’s fashionable. When I see a carpet that comes from the tradition that inspired these modern takes and retains the beauty and charisma of the original idea I just have to have it!
There’s a richness, warmth, subtlety and simplicity to this carpet that is hard to beat. The pile has a real goldilocks effect; not too dense and not too loose. I really adore this carpet!
